About us
Every breath counts.
That is why we are here.
For 60+ years we have been at the side of those who care for lives in critical moments. Mechanical ventilation technology where it is needed, in more than 100 countries.

Why Tecme
Technology built for life‑savers
For more than 60 years, TECME has been developing mechanical ventilators that respond to the real needs of intensive care units. From our main facilities we design and manufacture equipment that meets the highest international standards: FDA, CE-MDR, ANVISA, among others.
Our commitment goes beyond manufacturing: we accompany healthcare professionals with specialised technical support, continuous training and a distribution network that guarantees immediate response.
Founders
More than 60 years of continuous innovation in mechanical ventilation
In 1966, the convergence of two complementary visions gave birth to TECME. Dr. Ernesto Mañá, a pneumonologist specialising in thoracic surgery, brought the clinical perspective. His brother Luis brought the technical innovation capacity. This unique combination established our DNA: technology developed from real clinical practice.

Developments that made a difference
Each generation of ventilators responds to specific clinical needs identified in consultation with specialists.

NEONATAL INNOVATION
1990: BEBE - First ventilator dedicated to neonates
Through ongoing contact with clinical specialists, we identified the need for a ventilator for the most fragile patients. We launched the BEBE, the first 100% device dedicated to neonatal patients, with a pneumatic base and advanced electronics. This was the beginning of our specialisation in neonatal equipment, evolving to the current Neumovent Neo, present in global neonatal units to ventilate premature infants with very low body masses.

DIGITAL ERA
1997: Graph - The microprocessor revolution
With the advent of computing in medicine, the third generation of microprocessor ventilators is emerging. After years of research, we introduced the Neumovent Graph: a single device capable of performing functions that previously required multiple devices. This breakthrough marked our entry into the digital era of mechanical ventilation.
Our History
Milestones defining
our evolution
Every technological breakthrough, every expansion, every certification tells the story of our commitment to life. Learn about the key moments that have made us a leader in mechanical ventilation.
1966: First successful real patient trial
Dr. Mañá performs the first successful test of the prototype at the Tránsito Cáceres Hospital in Córdoba, within the Surgery Service of the Physiology Department of the National University.
1967: Start of production of the Neumovent D-III
Mass production of the pressure-cycled D-III model begins, expanding access to mechanical ventilation in Argentine hospitals.
1970: Pneumovent D-VI volumetric
The Lancet publishes on Adult Respiratory Failure Syndrome. TECME responds with the D-VI, a volumetric ventilator with PEEP that improves oxygenation of critically ill patients.
1977: Launch of the Neumovent 877
Relocation to larger premises with 15 operators. Launch of the Neumovent 877, an innovative design with internal pneumatics concealed in the cabinet, marking an aesthetic and functional breakthrough.
1988: First dedicated production plant
Inauguration of 1000 m² built specifically for the manufacture of ventilators. Staff increases to 40 workers, consolidating the national production capacity.
1990: BEBE - First neonatal ventilator
Development of the first ventilator 100% dedicated to neonatal patients, with pneumatic base and advanced electronics, initiating specialisation in neonatal equipment.
1997: Graph - Microprocessor Era
Launch of the Neumovent Graph, the first microprocessor-based TECME ventilator. A single device performs functions that previously required multiple devices.
2003: ISO 13485 certification
Obtaining international certification for medical devices, guaranteeing manufacturing excellence based on our own research and technology.
2007: Launch of GraphNet
Presentation of ventilator with advanced microprocessor, 12" display and Volumetric Capnography that allows automatic measurement of the dead space, optimising the medical work.
2008: Inauguration of our headquarters
Relocation to a new 3400 m² plant in the industrial zone of Cordoba. Staff grows to more than 110 workers due to increased national and international presence.
2011: GraphNet Advance, Neo and TS
Expansion of the GraphNet line with new models incorporating touchscreen technology. Advance, Neo and TS obtain CE Mark certification from the European Community and FDA.
2015: New production plant in Atlanta, USA
Opening of 929 m² in the United States to optimise distribution. This plant allows us to meet international standards and reduce delivery times in America.
2020: Role in the COVID-19 Pandemic
Production scale-up to 300% in record time. Expansion of facilities and human resources to respond to the critical need for ventilators during the health emergency.
2023: Launching ventilator family: Brina
New generation with 18" touch screen, modular design and intuitive interface. It incorporates monitoring parameters and ventilatory tools adapted to each patient.
